2012 Country for Coaches Concert presented by Woodland Schools Foundation

           Country for Coaches 2012

This is a benefit concert sponsored by 101.9 the Wolf, The Woodland Schools Foundation.  Proceeds from event and raffle ticket sales will be allocated for coaching stipends, grades 7-12.

Since the 2009-2010 school year, WJUSD has been forced to make cuts to extra duty stipend positions, including coaches.  Currently, WJUSD pays 70% of the acutual coaching stipend to varsity and eighth grade coaches for each sport.  Schools, parents, and the community have had to raise the remaining funds to cover any additional costs.  This event holds abundant potential for us to be able to raise a great deal of funds for this purpose.

This 2012 benefit concert  featured Country bands: Due West, Jon Pardi, Kip Moore, and Bucky Covington.  The talent is being provided at a discounted price courtesty of 101.9 The Wolf.  Due West, Kip Moore, and Bucky Covington are established Country acts with name recognition, nationally.  John Pardi is from Dixon and has recently signed with Capital Records.
